Hope Wednesdays Start January 15th 6-7:30

Dear Hope Family and Friends,

We've always loved our kiddos at Hope - Van (my oldest) was born at the same time we were gathering a launch team for this would-be church, so it's the only church he's ever known. (One time when he was little he asked if could ever visit one of those churches with all the benches!) However, in 2025 our students and kids are getting a special focus.

Sunday Hope Kids: At the start of this school year, we started offering full children's programming at both 9:30 and 11:00 on Sundays. Mary Harsh, our Director, is intentional about a curriculum that reflects our values and exposes our kids to the stories of our faith. We have a separate safe, fun, and staffed space for kids under 3, but some of our youngest really prefer being with the big kids! (Ronda Queen, who just rolled off as Chair of our Leadership Council, immediately raised her hand for volunteering in this ministry after watching its growth!)

Sunday Hope Youth: Every Sunday during the 11am service, our youth connect with leaders who LOVE them, for conversations about faith and life. I am in ministry because of my love of students and youth ministry. (If you've ever thought about volunteering, it is such an honor to be trusted by kids this age and you make an enormous impact.) Right now junior and senior students are together, but we certainly know that is not ideal. As growth in leaders and students occurs, it is our goal to have two different conversation circles.

Hope Wednesdays: Several of you indicated that Wednesday evening often are open as day to gather. Starting THIS Wednesday, from 6:00pm - 7:30, we are offering another day for our students and kids and adults to gather. We are going to try it FIVE times this semester to figure out what works, what doesn't, and if it's a need. If all goes well, we'll launch weekly in the fall. We will have a conversation for adults, but if you are parent who would prefer to drop off your child, so you can get some errands done or enjoy a conversation with your spouse, you are not required to stay.

THIS WEDNESDAY: Potluck dinner from 6:00-6:30. Mary and I will make sure there are at least 2 main dishes. You bring what is convenient that day! At 6:30, we'll separate into kids, youth, and adults for conversation, fun, and learning.
