What's the Difference Between Kindness and Niceness?

Dear Hope Family,

Tuesday afternoon we launched a Bloomington-Normal Kindness Campaign with a multi-church Kindness Rally on the steps of the McLean County History Museum! All of the United Methodist Churches in town, plus 17 local politicians, came together to promote kind in this election season. Tomorrow in worship, we'll consider what that means. It's tempting to equate this to a feeling that we should all just be "nice" - which can sometimes leading to silence, ignoring injustice, and burying our heads in the sand to the real issues we must face together.

Let's look at how kindness is promoted in Scripture, and consider what that looks like for us.
We also have 30 Kindness Campaign Yard Signs to give away. We want them to pop up all over town. If there's a desire for more, we can ask for more by next week.
