In The Loop
June, 12 2021
Let me start off by celebrating the fact that Illinois has entered Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois Covid-19 response plan!!! It is a miracle achieved through the divine gifts of funding, time, and medical science expertise.
Hope's re-launch timeline:
- Continued weekly Sunday morning online worship at 10:00 a.m.
- Sunday, June 27th gather for an outdoor My Anchor Holds concert, followed by lunch
- Sunday, July 25th Outdoor Worship, featuring the leadership of our new Director of Worship: Nander Novaes’
- Mid-August: Begin weekly in-person Worship, re-learning our systems!
- September 12th: Launch Sunday!
There are a few factors driving our launch date including the completion of ceiling work in our sanctuary and the arrival of our new Worship Director. Though contractors were contacted by our landlord in early April, August is the earliest they can prioritize our sanctuary.
*This timeline gives our congregation and leadership the opportunity to plan and organize many details pertaining to our Launch Sunday, much like our Launch in 2014!*
YOU, yes you, are all part of this launch team! When we re-launch, we are planning on hosting two in-person worship services each Sunday AND streaming a unique online service for our vital online congregation!!
Until, then, please feel free to stop by the office to say hi! In general, there are people present from 10-4 daily, and usually before and after that, too. If you want to be part of a learning or social group, you can click here or go to Hope Church's Facebook Page and click on "Groups". We are currently building a number of great groups!
P.S. Don’t forget PrideFest in Downtown Bloomington on June 26th 4pm – late!
Hope Church is a sponsor and will have a tent! You will also see a handful of familiar hope faces on stage during the drag show and musical performances! Find Hope and Be Hope at PrideFest by signing up to volunteer here!
